FAQ

Does it rust?

The razor is made from SUS304 and SUS316L stainless steel, both of which offer excellent corrosion resistance. Under normal use, the material itself does not rust.
However, due to the machine finish, moisture, soap residue, or minerals from water may remain on the surface and cause temporary discoloration or surface spotting. This is often water stains or surface residue, not structural corrosion, and can usually be removed with proper cleaning and drying.

Are the machining marks defects?

No. The visible machining marks are intentional and part of the design.
This razor features a machine finish, which preserves subtle tool marks left during the machining process. These marks are not defects, but an honest expression of how the tool is made. Each piece reflects precise Japanese machining rather than decorative uniformity.

Is each razor exactly the same?

No. While all razors are produced to the same design and specifications, each piece shows slight variations in surface texture due to the machine finish.
These differences do not affect performance or quality and should be considered part of the razor’s individual character.

How should I maintain it?

After use, rinse the razor thoroughly with clean water to remove soap and hair.
Dry it completely with a soft cloth and store it in a dry place.
For long-term care:
Avoid abrasive cleaners or metal brushes
Use mild detergent if necessary
Regular drying will help maintain its appearance
Proper maintenance will allow the razor to age naturally and develop character over time.

Is it suitable for daily use?

Yes. This razor is designed for daily use.
Its materials, weight balance, and construction are intended to withstand regular use over many years. With proper care, it will remain a reliable tool and improve in feel as it becomes familiar in your hand.
Due to the nature of the machine finish, surface changes over time are natural and should be regarded as part of the product’s intended character.
